The United Church, Chapel on the Hill:

A Progressive Christian Church

“Where people from all denominations meet in their differences, but are one in their search for God.”

Love is our doctrine; the quest for truth is our sacrament; to be of service is our prayer. We covenant with each person who enters in to dwell together in peace, to seek knowledge in freedom, to serve our fellow human beings with respect to the end that all may grow in harmony with each other and the divine. We open doors to all and all may share their faith without fear of censure or ridicule.

The United Church recognizes the spiritual experience of each individual as personal and sacred. Believing that your experience will be strengthened and enriched through Christian commitment and association, we welcome you into the fellowship of this Church.

The United Church is an interdenominational Christian congregation founded in 1943. We invite you to join us to learn how enriching and challenging the experience of worshiping, studying and serving with people of various denominations can be. We extend a special invitation to all who are having trouble finding a church that is a good match for their own particular religious beliefs. Many couples where one spouse is from one denomination and the other from another have found a common “church home” within the United Church—without giving up their particular denominational beliefs if they preferred to retain them.
